will soon be showing work in dallas at the elbow room and at scooter's coffeehouse on 620 & Parmer in austin. i think i'm doing mexican-influenced pieces in dallas and florals in austin, just to keep things simple and thematic. arts & eats fundraiser in san antonio also coming up in a couple months. yayayayayayayay.

new stuff!

this summer my pieces have lots of purples and greens and a consistent floral motif. several are also built around song lyrics.






this last piece is the very beginning of a commissioned work. it's a scene from maurice sendak's children's book "where the wild things are". i've watered down my acrylics to give them a watercolor feel and am using a rubber cement resist on the monsters (you can tell where i've rubbed off some of the cement in the middle).
